The puzzle difficulty issue has been resolved. Puzzles are now being generated at the requested difficulty. As per my previous post, the issue was with the record history flag not being set properly.
This has increased the load time for puzzle generation. A loading screen will be created for the transition.
We need to know exactly what is the reason behind this performance penalty. It can't be the mere selection of the difficulty that caused it.
ReplyDeleteBeyond that, if teh problem can;t be addressed at its root cause, there are ways to mask it so it does not compromise the user experience. We can talk about these options but need to know the reason for the performance hit!
